A Beginner's Guide to Mixing Prints

Mixing prints can get tricky, it's something that should be executed very carefully. Here are some to-the-point tips I've found to be very helpful to me.

Tonally take on one color - doing this can make your outfit visually cohesive.

Stick to similar print families (stripes on stripes, checks on checks, floral on floral, etc.)

Play with proportion. Use a small print, medium, and a big print. Another option is wearing a bold statement piece  (i.e. a coat) and wearing quieter, more mute patterns underneath to achieve a cohesive look without looking too tacky.
