De La Wool, De La Tweed...De La Renta

November is finally here! That means it's time to bring out the wool suit! As brisk weather peaks in, I am thrilled to start pulling from the rest of my closet -- sweaters, blazers, coats, and more warm clothes that have been on ice all summer can finally come out of retirement.

When I received the news that the fashion legend Oscar De La Renta had passed away I could only reflect upon his decades of contributions in the industry. As a young man who aspires to one day reach his level, I was inspired to keep working hard on my own business endeavors and hopefully serve as a role model for someone else who may have similar goals as I do.

This green vintage Oscar De La Renta tweed weekend bag was purchased along with the rest of the collection that came with a duffle bag and travel bag for a mere $65! It always pays to thrift! The details are impeccable; gold zippers and the iconic "Oscar De La Renta" signature engraved on a gold name plate. This bag is perfect for Fall/Winter, and for me it serves as a reminder of where I aspire to be one day.

Shopping via web from well known brands are nice every now-and-then but some of my rarest finds have been thrifted.

In previous posts you've seen me sport the knit tie, but nothing says chic and modern more than the skinny tie. Matching up the handkerchief and tie can get too matchy, I decided to balance the look out with a washed red pocket square. My tassel loafers never fail me, I picked this pair up in Zara's at Lenox Square Mall when I visited Atlanta one weekend. This wool suit from H&M is my favorite suit in my collection -- it's neutral and the pants can be worn separately as casual trousers and the blazer can be used to dress up almost any look.

As the holidays approach I am excited to enjoy them and travel as much as possible. Being an undergrad, most of the time I'm missing out on events like Art Basel and Coachella to take final exams. For now, First Fridays at Railroad Sqaure Art Park here in Tallahassee will suffice until I can build up my bucks and get a job after graudation that will allow me that vacation time. Until next post...

Keep it cool!
